Federal disability compensation (same in every state)

Property tax exemption

- Disabled Veteran Market Value Exclusion. Minnesota excludes a portion of the market value of a homestead from property tax for veterans with a service-connected disability. - Minnesota GI Bill. The Minnesota GI Bill may provide up to $10,000 over a lifetime for eligible veterans, service members, and their families for postsecondary education, on-the-job training, or apprenticeships at approved Minnesota institutions. Source.
- Military Retirement Income Subtraction. Minnesota allows an income subtraction on federal military retirement pay for eligible retirees. VA disability compensation is already federally tax-exempt; this subtraction affects other military-origin income. Source.
